AcesulfameK.org is published by the Calorie Control Council (CCC), an international association representing manufacturers and suppliers of more than two dozen low-calorie ingredients. CCC staff includes experts certified in public health, food and nutrition.
CCC provides a forum for its members to discuss and resolve issues and ensure cooperation among key internal and external stakeholders internationally. CCC promotes open dialogue between its members and scientific and governmental organizations, health professionals, and consumers groups—on topics related to the safe use and benefits of low- and reduced-calorie ingredients and products. As part of this objective, careful attention to scientific research has been a cornerstone of CCC since its founding. From time to time, CCC has sponsored studies on low- and reduced-calorie ingredients, foods and beverages—including ingredient safety, consumer usage and public opinion.
CCC has fostered the communication of information on the importance of diet, physical activity and weight control in achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. CCC believes that consumers will benefit from a better understanding of the importance of reducing calorie intake and increasing caloric expenditure as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. CCC’s motto is “healthy eating and exercise for life”®!
